At SeacrestFunded, we believe that talent requires not only the freedom to express itself, but also a solid framework in which it can develop. For this reason, our Firm Rules are not mere limitations: they are a set of best practices that safeguard traders, ensure a fair environment, and preserve the integrity of our funded program.
📰 Trading on News
It is well known that high-impact economic announcements can be a double-edged sword. In the Challenge stage, you can trade even when there is news. However, in Live Simulated accounts, we like to maintain stability: trading on news is not allowed.
If you open or close trades within 3 minutes before or after a high-impact news event, we will remove the profits made on those positions, but your account will remain active. You are allowed to keep your positions open during that period.
📅 Minimum Profitable Days
Demonstrating skill and consistency in trading is what really makes the difference in 1- or 2-phase evaluations. Each participant is expected to achieve three profitable days, achieving a minimum increase of 0.5% on the initial balance each day. Those who do not meet this criterion are not excluded from the challenge, but must wait to continue until they meet the established standard, thus ensuring that progress reflects solid and sustainable results.
🔄 Ethical Copy Trading
You are allowed to copy your trades between your own accounts, but you are not allowed to copy trades between other traders’ accounts.
EAs that copy trades can only be used with the authorization of STT Social Trader Tools. Any misuse may result in the cancellation of the demo account.
⏱️ Inactivity Rule
To keep your account active, you are required to perform at least one trade every 30 days. The account count starts with the purchase, not with your first trade.
🤖 Use of Expert Advisors EAs
Automation is valued, but only under strict supervision. Currently, EAs are not permitted on MT5 or MatchTrader, except for those integrations approved with STT Social Trader Tools or Traders Connect.
⚖️ Leverage and Risk Management
For funded accounts, risk is limited: the total size of positions must not exceed 2% of the account risk. The first violation results in a warning, possible reduction of profits, and lower leverage; the second violation results in permanent account deactivation.
🚫 Use of Multiple Accounts with the Same CID
To protect the integrity of the program, a single Client ID cannot manage multiple MT5 accounts. Those who violate this rule will be disqualified, all linked accounts will be closed, the corresponding profits will be forfeited, and a permanent ban will be applied.
