📊 Consistency Rules

Alpha Trader Firm offers a flexible trading environment, without imposing consistency rules at any stage.
Both during the challenge and in funded accounts, traders have complete freedom to trade according to their own style and strategy, with no limitations on how they generate their results.

📑 Alpha Trader Firm Rules

🔹 Floating PnL Rule

At Alpha Trader Firm, risk management is paramount, so specific limits are applied to floating PnL «open losses».

  • Instant Account:
The trader cannot maintain an open loss greater than 1% of the total account balance at any time.
  • 2-Phase Accounts «evaluation stage»:
During the evaluation, open losses must not exceed 3% of the account balance, ensuring responsible and sustained trading.

🔹 Minimum Trading Days

Alpha Trader Firm seeks to encourage consistency and discipline by establishing a minimum number of trading days in certain modalities:

Instant Account:
Ten profitable trading days are required, each with a minimum profit of 0.50%.
After the first payment, it is no longer necessary to comply with minimum trading days.

1-Phase and 2-Phase Accounts:

  • Challenge Stage:
✅ The trader must trade at least 7 profitable days.
✅ Each profitable day must reflect a minimum return of 0.50%.
  • Funded Stage:
✅ There is no minimum number of trading days required, giving the trader complete freedom to manage their account at their own pace.

📊 Trader Score Requirement

The trader score reflects how balanced your profits are over time. It is calculated by comparing your best trading day with your total performance, providing an objective measure of consistency and control.

Calculation formula:

🔹 Program Rules

  • Instant Funding: To be able to withdraw, your score must be 20% or lower.
  • 1-Phase Program: A score of 30% or lower is required to make withdrawals.
  • 2-Phase Program: A score of 30% or lower is also required.

🔹 Maintaining trades over the weekend

How you manage your positions over the weekend depends on whether or not you have the weekend trading add-on:

  • Without the add-on: All trades must be closed by 4:00 p.m. EST on Friday. No new positions can be opened until Monday.
  • With the add-on: You can keep positions open and open new trades throughout the weekend, increasing flexibility and trading opportunities.

📰 News Trading

News trading involves trading around economic or political events that can cause high volatility in the market.

Without the News Trading add-on, you are not allowed to open or hold trades during the five minutes before, during, or after relevant events classified as red folder events, as these tend to cause sudden and unpredictable price movements.

With the News Trading add-on, however, you can trade before, during, and after such events, allowing you to take advantage of the volatility and opportunities that arise at those times. This add-on is specially designed for experienced traders who seek to manage risk strategically while capitalizing on the most intense market movements.

🤖 Expert Advisors EAs and Copy Trading

During Phases 1 and 2 of the challenge, the use of automated trading systems or Expert Advisors (EAs), including those that employ artificial intelligence, is permitted. However, in the funded stage, only manual trading is authorized, and the use of EAs, automated systems, or AI-based tools is strictly prohibited.

As for copy trading, replicating the trades of other accounts is considered a serious violation and is completely prohibited in all stages.

⚠️ Maximum Risk Rule

During the challenge, traders can trade freely according to their personal strategy, with no set risk limit. However, for funded accounts—whether in one- or two-phase programs—the following limits apply:

  • Maximum risk per trade: 3% of the total amount.
  • Maximum floating loss: -3% of the balance.

In instant funding programs, the conditions are stricter:

  • Maximum risk: 1% of the total balance.
  • Maximum floating loss: -1%.

💡 If any of these limits are exceeded, the account will be automatically closed. This rule aims to protect capital and encourage operational discipline within funded accounts.

Restricted trading strategies

  • Account management
  • Signal trading
  • High-frequency trading
  • Martingale
  • Hedging between accounts
  • Guaranteed limit orders

⚖️ Inactivity Rule

All accounts will be automatically closed after 30 consecutive days of inactivity.

To keep your account active and avoid deactivation, it is essential to perform at least one transaction within each 30 day period. This measure ensures that accounts remain in constant use and prevents the accumulation of inactive accounts in the system.

💸 Alpha Trader Firm Payment Policy

When a payment is requested, trading is temporarily suspended to protect the available balance and ensure a secure process. The maximum processing time to approve or reject the request is up to five days.

Payment options include cryptocurrencies, bank transfers, and ACH, offering flexibility according to the trader’s preferences.

There are different payment methods, each with specific conditions:

  • Standard payment: made every 30 days and allows up to 100% of profits to be withdrawn.
  • Weekly payment: provides immediate payments of 80% of accumulated profits.
  • Payment on demand: can be requested at any time, with a withdrawal of 70% of profits, subject to certain score requirements and minimum trading days.
  • Biweekly payment: available only for instant funding accounts, it allows you to withdraw 80% of profits after a minimum of 10 active days.

👉 In all modes, it is essential to maintain an adequate trader score and comply with the minimum trading days established for each account type.
